I have my Macbook printing to an HP Deskjet 952c connected to my DNS-323.
Here is my info:
Mac OS X 10.4.11
DNS-323 firmware 1.03
Since you comment that your Windows laptops find it fine, this should be easy to accomplish on your Macs as well.
I used the Printer Setup Utility to add my printer.
Open Printer Setup Utility (I just type 'printer' into spotlight).
Click 'Add'. Hold down the alt/option key and click 'more printers' simultaneously.
Drop down the first box to 'Advanced'. Drop the next box down to 'Windows Printer via SAMBA'. In the 'Device Name' field name your printer. In the 'Device URI' field enter your device's IP address and printer name. This should be something similar to 'smb://[ip address here]/lp'. Mine, for example, is 'smb://192.168.1.4/lp'. Choose the correct printer model and driver from the provided list and you should be finished.
